Making the Best Out Of the Pandemic- Reflections from Indian Online Textile Industry

ABSTRACT

The online textile industry has been considerably benefitted after COVID-19. The year 2021 has shaped a major role for the e-retailers of the textile industries in the Indian economy. Due to the pandemic most of the daily life activities has been completely changed. It has impacted in all the walks of our life; starting from home to attending the important events and meetings. But as the saying goes “Every black cloud has a silver lining”, in the same way many people employed in different industries has completely turned this pandemic crisis into a golden opportunity. Textile industry is one such industry. The present study narrates the difficulties existing in the textile industry; but despite of all these hurdles, still it is acting as an important asset for developing the Indian economy. The study also reveals the measures taken by the Government to overcome and strengthen the textile industry to fight against this crisis. It also focuses on the world’s top ten exporters of Textiles and Clothing.
