Management of Cockroach Infestations - By Using Boric Acid

ABSTRACT Cockroaches are one of the most common household pests. They usually start investing in the areas where rotten food is kept, not well sanitized areas, dark and dirty areas of indoors. Apart from these they are also found in grocery bags, beverage cartons, furniture, cracks and crevices etc. They are capable of transmitting bacterial pathogens which can cause diarrhoea, i.e., food poisoning, asthma problems, allergy by saliva and fecal matter, contaminating food and also by leaving the foul odours behind. In addition to the human diseases they also destroy fabric and paper products. As per public regards cockroaches are negatively impacted in the surroundings and intolerable insects due to their repulsive and annoying characteristics. So, here we focus on infestation and management of cockroaches by simple method i.e., by using boric acid which can be low cost efficiency.
