Management of Ovarian Cyst through Ayurveda-A Case Study

ABSRACT
Ovarian cysts are simple or complex fluid-filled structures. They are common findings that are usually discovered by chance during a physical examination or imaging. Complications from ovarian cysts include rupture, haemorrhage, and torsion, all of which are considered gynaecological emergencies. To avoid high morbidity and mortality, it is critical to diagnose and treat them as soon as possible. Ovarian cysts frequently necessitate surgical treatment, but there are significant challenges to managing with medications. According to Ayurvedic classics, such cysts can be treated in the same way that Kaphaja Granthi disease is. In the form of a case study, this article presents a successfully managed case of Ovarian Cystic Mass using Ayurvedic treatment.
The purpose of this study was to assess the efficacy of ayurvedic drugs therapy for the treatment of ovarian cyst. The treatment lasted for 10 weeks . Symptomatic relief and ultrasonography were used to assess the therapeutic effects, and the treatment response was noted. The findings revealed that with the use of ayurveda regimen, ovarian cyst could be managed effectively and surgical intervention are avoided.
