Marma Sharir: A Critical Analysis of Vital Points in Ayurveda

ABSTRACT Marma Sharir is a fundamental concept in Ayurveda, describing vital anatomical and physiological points in the human body. These points, when injured, can cause severe pain, disability, or even death. This paper explores the classification, anatomical relevance, and clinical significance of Marma, comparing traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern medical perspectives. The study also examines Marma therapy, its role in pain management, and its contemporary applications.
