ABSTRACT There are thousands of plant species in the globe, and many of them have therapeutic uses. In medical customs, medicinal plants are often used. One of the earliest systems of medicine that is still in use today is Ayurveda. Therefore, accurate identification of medicinal plants has significant advantages for the government, the public, physicians, life scientists, forest department personnel, pharmaceutical laboratories, and the manufacturing of medications. Plant identification by hand is a straightforward process that is typically carried out by knowledgeable experts in the field. It takes a lot of time, though. There's a potential of misidentification, which can have negative impacts and cause more significant issues. Creating picture datasets is the main topic of this chapter.
