ABSTRACT Friction stir welding (FSW) is an innovative solid state joining process that has gained significant attention for its ability to weld materials particularly aluminium alloys, without the need for melting. The environmental advantages combined with its ability to weld difficult to join aluminium alloys make friction stir welding a preferred solution in modern manufacturing the abstract highlights the fundamentals of friction stir welding and its critical role in advancing aluminium alloy welding technologies. The present research concerns to FSW, which is one of the modern welding techniques used these days.
