The goal for better acceptability and performance in orally delivered pharmaceuticals has led to the development of a variety of formulations. Mouth dissolving tablets (MDTs) have seen an increase in demand over the past few decades, and the field is now one that the pharmaceutical industry is seeing tremendous growth in. The special feature of mouth-dissolving tablets is that they dissolve quickly and release the medication as soon as they come into contact with saliva, eliminating the need for water during administration. In addition to discussing more current advancements and methods of bitterness reduction for medications intended for oral administration.
