Author Name : Vd. Shivani S. Kshirsagar, Vd. Ravindra S. Phadol
ABSTRACT Acne vulgaris, also known as Yuvana Pidaka, is one of the most prevalent, problematic, and annoying skin care issues that individuals worldwide deal with. Although acne vulgaris is commonly observed among adolescents, it is not restricted to this age group and can affect individuals of various ages. Its prevalence rates are estimated to range from 35% to over 90% among adolescents1 .Rasavaha and Raktavaha Srotas are involved, and it is induced by Kapha, Vata, and Rakta Dhatu. In addition to other factors, an unhealthy lifestyle is found to be the primary cause of these lesions' emergence. It lowers one's self-confidence and has a negative impact on subjects' self-esteem. The goal of the current study is to understand the therapeutic benefits of Mukha Lepa, which involves applying Manjishta, Chandana, Yastimadhu, and Kushta externally to the face once a day for fifteen days . 10 participants in the study were evaluated using criteria such as Ruja, Kandu, Daha, number and type of eruptions before and after the procedure. The way the patient responded to the treatment was noted, and statistical tests were used to assess the therapeutic efficacy. It was also observed that there was a significant variation in the patients' facial complexion.
