ABSTRACT
Ocular drug delivery is the challenging as it prevents the access of drug at the site of action. An ideal delivery system should enhance drug bioavailability and controlled release of drug at the site of action, which can beat various ocular barriers. now Nanotechnology getting more significant in ocular drug deliver. Nanoparticles, Nanosuspension, Iontophorosis, Nanomicelles, Dendrimers, Liposomes, Nanowafers, are increasingly studied for anterior and posterior disorders. This review focuses barriers of ocular drug delivery, summarizes various nanomedicine systems like nanosuspensions, nanoparticles, dendrimers, liposomes etc. and its importance in the field of ocular drug delivery.
