Niruha Basti in the Management of Vata-Dominant Dosha: A Comprehensive Overview

Author Name : Dr. Mayuri Pandharinath Janjal, Dr. Sandesh L. Chokhar, Dr. Jyoti V. Chopade

Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine, is based on the balance of three vital bio-energies or doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Each dosha represents specific bodily functions and is linked to physical, mental, and emotional characteristics. Vata dosha, which is primarily composed of air (Vayu) and ether (Akasha), governs movement, communication, and the nervous system. When Vata is imbalanced, it can lead to disorders such as arthritis, constipation, anxiety, and insomnia.
