ABSTRACT : This paper summarize the planning and development of an On-grid solar-energized charging system for electric vehicles, offering a solution to the issues of expensive gasoline and harmful emissions. It also addresses the problem of pollution stemming from electricity generation. With the increasing number of countries adopting electric vehicles, there's a growing need for sustainable charging solutions. Electric vehicles not only benefit the environment but also help in reducing transportation costs by replacing costly fuel with more economical power sources. This study presents an innovative solution by designing an electric vehicle charging system that operates while the vehicle is in motion, powered by solar energy without requiring additional power sources. The system integrates various components including a solar panel, battery, transformer, regulator circuitry, copper coils, AC to DC converter, Node MCU ESP8266 controller, relay module, LDR module, IR module, and voltage regulator. It demonstrates the capabilities of charging electric vehicles while in motion, removing the necessity for frequent stops. The battery is charged by the solar panel through a charge controller, storing DC power, DC power is utilized to power copper coils for transmitting wireless energy. Beneath the electric vehicle, a comparable copper coil is positioned to facilitate energy transmission as the vehicle traverses over the coils. The generated DC current is transformed into practical DC power through AC to DC conversion circuitry, while the input voltage is monitored using a microcontroller. This technology highlights the idea of charging electric vehicles without the need for visits to charging stations, showcasing the potential for integrating solar-powered wireless charging systems into roads.
