Optimal Lighting Design for Outdoor Facilities: JNEC Basketball Court and Volleyball Court

ABSTRACT A set of recommendations for the optimization of illumination at JNEC basketball court is proposed. Various Illumination standards are considered when illumination equipment and DIALUX software are employed. The study involves analysis and variation in different parameters such as mounting height, variable distance between poles, illumination uniformity and glares under different simulations. The paper realizes ways to improve sports facility lighting to benefit player performance, spectator experience, and safety during night-time games.
