Performance Analysis of MGNREGA in Haryana State

ABSTRACT The study was undertaken on the way to observe the physical and financial performance of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in Haryana. The outcomes shown that the number of households provided employment under MGNREGA have increased rapidly during the period 2016-20 respectively. The results conclusively exposed that the number of job seekers under this scheme has been increasing all through the of job cards issued to rural households. The results have highlighted increase participation of women in MGNREGS. The income of the participate households working under scheme has been supplement to large extent. The total funds available and total expenditure incurred under have changed through time. In the same way, the percentage of expenditure to total funds available has shown an increasing trend. Secondary data have been collect from different Articles, research papers, reports, journals, news papers and online data base. The study reveals that MGNREGA has a positive impact on rural employment generation and rural development.
