Phytochemical Screening, Antioxidant, Antibacterial Activity of Osmium Sanctum

ABSTRACT

Ocimum Sanctum is a crucial component in conventional medicine. The ethanolic extract was obtained after the leaves were collected from the local area, dried, and ground into powder. Physiochemical screening was used to test the quality of phytochemicals like alkaloids, phenols, tannins, terpenoids, glycosides, and Coumadin. Antibacterial activity was assessed using the disc diffusion method against two positive pathogens and two negative pathogens, while antioxidant activity was assessed using the DPPH, H2O2, and O2 methods.
