Podcasting as a Learning Tool: Student Engagement and Knowledge Retention

ABSTRACT Podcasting has emerged as a versatile medium in education offering opportunities for enhanced engagement, accessibility and flexibility in learning. This paper highlights the effectiveness of how podcasting is used as an educational tool across various media courses and learner demographics. A tool was developed and the questionnaire comprises 15 set of items highlighting the student demographics, categories of podcasts, their duration and content engagement levels. The findings provide insights into the pedagogical benefits, improving student learning engagement and the accessibility to use.
