ABSTRACT A global health catastrophe and an unprecedented pandemic have been brought on by the appearance of the novel SARS Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which is the cause of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Although the lungs are the primary organs affected by COVID-19, people infected with SARS-CoV-2 often develop systemic disease with a broad spectrum of clinical symptoms. In recovered COVID-19 patients, respiratory problems including persistent cough, dyspnea, elevated respiratory rate, and oxygen support are common. These issues are chronic and degrade an individual's quality of life. Risk factors need to be identified and patients need to be assessed for any consequences. Numerous publications from around the world describe the elements that lead to the emergence of these issues. Breathlessness in post-COVID-19 circumstances may be caused by extrapulmonary consequences such as diminished activity tolerance and fragility. Physiotherapy breathing methods and modified pulmonary rehabilitation programs are examples of non-pharmacological therapeutic alternatives that may help reduce dyspnea in individuals with post-COVID-19 symptoms. In this review paper, we provide light on the current understanding of post-COVID-19 problems, with a particular emphasis on pulmonary difficulties in post-COVID syndrome, as well as treatment guidelines and physician recommendations for these disorders.
