ABSTRACT Data and its numerous post-processed forms are seen as invaluable assets in today's technology-driven world. If it cannot be put to use, information or knowledge acquired from raw data is of little or no value. The user is the most important component of the system because they wear the numerous hats of author, watcher, and consumer of information. This is even more obvious in academic settings, where knowledge transfer and sharing are crucial but still very difficult to do. The platform used to enable information exchange and offer a more seamless transition between information transfer and integration is known as the Knowledge Management System (KMS). In this journal article, we suggest creating a platform for academic management that is IT-enabled, with each element being planned and created with the user in mind. To manage and control different aspects of learning in an academic institution, like quizzes, assignments, regular assessments, and a document repository of learning resources for ongoing learning and reference, this will enable technology to be the enabler and the user the core of the underlying system, working in sync with each other to create a seamless and unified interface. The KMS/ Learning Management System (LMS) module will be a part of an overarching ERP application, along with other modules like those for feedback, academic performance, etc. This will allow for more flexibility, opportunities for analysis and engagement, and future scope for modifications that would be advantageous to all system stakeholders
