ABSTRACT

Bridge construction is an essential part of National Highway & Expressway Projects. Now all this type of projects is time bounded so it’s a challenge to ensure a safe, serviceable & economic bridge structure. PSC, I girder is easy to construct & erection. Most of the PSC girders were constructed by the Pre-Cast method. The Cast-in-situ method is too much time taking for shuttering & staging. In Pre-Cast we mostly cast on ground level especially on Casting Yard and then carried out to the site by truck/trailer. In this case, PSC girder all elements like concrete mix design, Reinforcement details, cable stressing, grouting are all discussed.
