Prostate Cancer Metastasis to the Stomach and Duodenum

ABSTRACT

Prostate cancer commonly manifests with bony metastases. Visceral metastasis can also occur in the lungs and liver. However, stomach or duodenal metastasis related to prostate cancer is rare. To our knowledge our case is the 1st reported case to have metastasis to both stomach and duodenum. Our patent 80 years old presented with metastatic prostate cancer to the bone, responded in the 1st year to hormonal treatment in form of bilateral orchidectomy. Two and half year after diagnosis developed bilateral ureteric involvement, and developed upper GI metastasis three years after diagnosis. The patient died 9 months after the diagnosis of upper GI metastasis.
