Protection of Marine Structures from Corrosion

ABSTRACT

This paper discusses about various protection techniques used in marine structure to prevent them from the impact of corrosion. The application of protective coatings is the primary method for protecting marine and offshore structures from Coating Breakdown and Corrosion (CBC). Measures taken to prevent and overcome the corrosion of structures, such as Electroplating, Galvanizing including hot dipping, Hot spray coating, Thermal spraying etc. are mentioned.
