Radiography Test by X-Ray Based Method for non-Destructive Testing on Welding Joints: A Review

ABSTRACT

The various sectors of Industries e.g. welding, fabrication, metallurgy, manufacturing processes and other advance fields e.g. robotics and automation all are uplifting to reduce human errors and minimize the defects to achieve optimum output of performance and best quality. This method monitoring should be done in such a way that it does not impair the functionality or service performance of the product. It’s a qualitative method of visualization the internal physical structures for example internal structure of welding joints, bones, internal structure of material. The investigating technique used for it, is called radiography or x-ray technique because the source used for radiation generation will be radioactive isotopes or high speed accelerating electron.
