ABSTRACT
The existence of life on Earth depends heavily on the availability of water. Surface and groundwater resources in India are being used more quickly than they can be replenished as a result of the country's growing population and daily use. The most vital resource on the planet is water. Which we need water for in our daily lives in order to perform a variety of tasks. India is overtaken to China as the world's most populous country at the pace that its population is growing. its primary status as the world's most populous country. The most important characteristic asset, "Water," will be used at a high rate as a result, increasing pressure on the available freshwater resources and causing a fast decline in supplies worldwide. In order to manage and restrict our daily need for water, we must consider mechanical water conservation methods that are quite straightforward and technologically smart. Therefore, the rainwater harvesting method is used to replenish the ground water table as well as to reuse the rainwater for domestic and agricultural uses. The basic act of collecting or storing water where it rains using scientific methods is known as rainwater harvesting. In addition to helping to satisfy daily water needs, rainwater gathering also contributes to improved quality and quantity of groundwater. By constructing a rainwater collecting system, we may utilize our resources in an efficient manner while keeping all of these factors in mind. This study emphasizes the need, idea, and use of RWH systems that may be applied to various Maharashtra villages and districts based on historical rainfall and water availability information.
