Research Hypothesis
Author Name : Dr. Gitanjali Padhi
ABSTRACT
After identifying the broad purpose of research, formulation of a hypothesis appropriate to that purpose is an important stage of the research pro-cess. Hypothesis is an assumption that is made on the basis of some evidence. This is the initial point of any investigation that translates the research questions into a prediction. It includes components like variables, population, and the relation between the variables. A hypothesis is a statement that can be tested by scientific research. A research hypoth-esis (also called a scientific hypothesis)is a hypothesis that is used to test the relationship between two or more variables. Hypothesis is an idea or explanation for something that is based on known facts but has not yet been proved.
