Review on Niosomes: A Promising Tool For Vesicular Drug Delivery
Author Name : Urvish Choudhary, Chainesh Shah, Nikita Vaghela, Jitendra Patel, Umesh Upadhyay
ABSTRACT
By hydrating a mixture of nonionic surfactants and cholesterol, niosomes, which are non-ionic surfactant vesicles, are produced. It can be utilised to transport drugs that are both amphiphilic and lipophilic. The drug is enclosed in a vesicle when it is delivered by niosomes. Niosomes are flexible in their structural characterisation, biodegradable, biocompatible, and non-immunogenic. The primary goal of this review is to highlight how niosome technology is being used to treat a variety of disorders. Niosomes are advantageous for both researchers and the pharmaceutical industry. Due to niosome's stability and affordability, it appears that people prefer it over liposome as a medication delivery mechanism.
