Saoimage DS9 and its Applications in Astronomy

ABSTRACT A number of space based and ground based observatories are capturing astrophysical images in different electromagnetic wavelengths domain. Images of these waves are analysed by analysis softwares for different perspectives. In this paper we present a brief study on an open source software SAOimageDS9 and its few applications in X-ray astronomy.
