Sexual Jealousy in Shakespear’s Othello

ABSTRACT

This article is basically a study of shakespear’s famous character Othello and throws a light on othello’s character in the play. There have been various arguments and charges against Othello as a jealous character. Shakespeare wanted to portray not only othello’s jealousy but also various other auspects of othello’s character. Throughout the play Othello has been presented as a rigorous villain cum hero before the audience as he is full of rage but finally falls for Iago’s trap at the last.

Iago plays a vital game in the doom of Othello and death of Desdemona.
