ABSTRACT

Trustworthiness in public transport is of great importance today. Citizens who use public transport, especially buses, wastes a lot of time waiting for the bus at bus stop. The buses get delay due to many reasons such as [1] traffic jam [2] irregular dispatching time of bus, [3] accidents and emergencies etc. If people get exact location and arrival time of the bus on normal traffic conditions, it will be convenient to travel. This paper proposes a similar system to tackle these problems. This project will implement a smart bus system that will notify us of the arrival time of the bus at that specific bus stop. There will be two systems for this, one at the bus stop and the other on the bus itself. The circuit will work on a wireless module and there will be a transmitter-receiver module for communication. There will be LCD and voice module for the indication. Also, many a times bus gets damaged due to accidents, or tire failures, in that case we have to send another bus. For this case we can change the number of the bus without causing any delay. This circuit will be implemented for the good of daily life travel with ease.
