ABSTRACT
The goal of this project is to make it easier for drivers to remember where they parked and reduce the amount of time spent doing so. During rush hours, drivers often spend a considerable amount of time looking for a parking spot. They may have forgotten where they parked. When picking up the car, to the exact model and year. To address this issue, engineers have developed an automated car parking system to help drivers quickly locate available parking spots. Information regarding available parking spots is shown. By alerting drivers to available spots before they join the system, we can cut down on the amount of time they have to wait when trying to park. The technology detects the empty spot and highlights it on the screen; this indicator may be installed at the parking lot's main entrance so that drivers don't need assistance finding a spot as they pull in. Infrared sensors detect vehicles in a parking lot; the data from these sensors is sent to a micro controller, which then indicates whether or not a certain spot is available. Three sensor packages are utilized to represent three parking lots in the experiment. When all available parking spots are occupied, the gate will shut automatically. A DC motor is utilized for this purpose, and the controller operates the motor; a 10-inch arm is attached to the motor shaft to represent the gate, and its movement may be used to imitate the gate opening and closing. The micro-output controller's is connected to an LCD display to show the relevant data. IoT devices provide system status via mobile apps (ESP8266).
