Social Adjustment of Adolescent School Learners

ABSTRACT

The present study investigations is to find out the social adjustment status among adolescents school learners with regard to their age, gender, caste, and birth order. The total purposive sample consisted 200 (100 boy & 100 girl) adolescent school learners belonged from various higher secondary school of south 24 parganas district. Methodology: The present study was conducted on Social Adjustment of Adolescent School Learners. For sample selection, purposive sampling technique was used. Sample size for this study consisted of 200 adolescents (100 boys and 100 girls). Data were collected by Social Adjustment Inventory (SAI), (Dr. Roma Pal, 1985). The data were analyzed by using‘t’ test. Result: Major findings revealed through the present study, that there are significant mean difference exists among the school going adolescents’ when social adjustment is considered (p>0.05).
