Author Name : T.M. Nidhya Gowdhami, Dr.S. Jayanthi

ABSTRACT Sudha Murthy, one of the doyens of Indian Literature, wrote novels and short stories gushing with the essence of morals and culture that the human race must preserve. Her narratives are straightforward and relatable to everyone as the core ideas of her works are based on her personal experience and interactions with common people. In her renowned book Mahashweta, the writer discusses the difficulties faced by the main character Anupama when she was diagnosed with leukoderma a few months after getting married to Anand. Unfortunately, she was away from her husband and situations upended when her mother-in-law was exposed to her affliction.
