Author Name : S. Saravanan, N. Mohammed Faizan, Ms. Geetha Rajendran
ABSTRACT SHRM becomes indispensable for the successful management of M&As. Human capital related challenges such as cultural alignment, talent retention and communication issues are one of the significant challenges during amalgamation of multiple organizations. On the other hand, effective SHRM practices in most organizations reduce risks related to personnel, ensure integration without any hiccups, and finally enhance business performance. In brief, this paper explores the very crucial role of SHRM in M&As. It gets into how HRM and M&A literatures intersect to identify key practices in successful integration. The study focuses on pre-merger planning, cultural alignment, talent retention, and effective communication while conducting M&As in SHRM. An organizational approach to strategic human resource management would go a long way for organizations in maximizing M&A benefits, reducing people-related risks, and capitalizing on the strategic advantage of human resources. This research has contributed to extant knowledge regarding SHRM in M&As in that it offers solid insights into the optimization of M&A success that can be utilized by professionals and academics.
