ABSTRACT
In order to transmit torque, a toothed element called a gear meshes with another toothed part. Gears are a sort of circular machine part with uniformly spaced teeth that are cut around cylindrical surfaces on conical shapes. Transmission of power from one shaft to another shaft is accomplished by means of gears. Nowadays, gears are employed extensively in all mechanical equipment. When the driving and driven shafts are parallel to one another, these gears can be utilized to transmit power in the same plane.
