Studies on Enhancement of Solubility of Poorly Water Soluble Nsaid Drug by Oral Drug Delivery System

ABSTRACT

The poor water solubility is the main reason for poor oral bioavailability and it causes research and development more difficult. There are different methods for the improvement of solubility such as amorphization, crystal modification, micronization, self-emulsification, cyclodextrin complexation, and pH modification. There is various difficulty of improvement of water solubility of poor water-soluble drug according to different routes of administration. A better knowledge of biopharmaceutical and physiochemical property of drug and their limitation helpful for efficient formulation development for poorly water-soluble drugs. The article describes various methos of improvement of water solubility of drug substances.
