The Composition of Ciliphoran Population From Freshwater Bodies of Daultabad Region

ABSTRACT
Ciliophora are one of the diverse groups of Protozoa, ranked as a phylum in the scheme of classification given by 15Levin (1980). Most of them are found in water, soil and some are obligate and opportunistic parasites. The present study based on the freeliving ciliates, total 27 species of ciliates (Ciliopohora: Protozoa) were encountered from three different sampling sites of Daultabad region of Aurangabad . The composition of ciliate population showed great variability in three different sampling sites.
