The Effect of Major Global Crises on the Indian Stock Market During 2007-2023

ABSTRACT This paper discuss that crisis is a word which has rocked the entire world. US market which is a feeder of the world market crashed and it had effect on all the major markets. This paper has considered major crisis during the period 2007 – 2023. These four crisis includes The Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2008, The oil price crash of 2014-2016, The Russia-Ukraine war in 2022, and The COVID-19 pandemic. The major stock markets include CNX Nifty, S&P BSE Sensex, CNX Nifty Junior and S&P BSE 100. Researcher has tried to measure the impact of crisis on Indian stock market by using Paired T Test and GRACH Model.
