ABSTRACT This study explores the effectiveness of integrating Sci-Toons, a method combining science with creative cartoons, into science education. It compares two volumes of Sci-Toons: Volume 1, which uses direct explanations alongside cartoons, and Volume 2, which utilizes storytelling as a medium of instruction. Thousands of students, across various platforms including workshops at The Borivli Education Society, India International Science Festival 2023 and Pune University in 2024, were exposed to both methods. The results suggest that both methods improve student engagement, retention, and conceptual understanding, though the storytelling method tends to yield more significant long-term retention. This research highlights the potential of innovative teaching methods to surpass traditional textbook-based learning in science education. First time in India such creative science cartoons, based on the syllabus are introduced in and out of the classrooms. As the first female science cartoonist, I believe in providing my creativity not only to my students but also to the students of various other schools. The Sci-Toons books by Hemali Joshi are published in 2 Volumes by Sheth Publishing House In 2023 and 2024. These Sci-Toons literature materials are for creative and innovative teaching-learning approaches. It is an initiative under New Education Policy 2020
