ABSTRACT

The pictorial turn assumes the possibility of a complex connection between howimagesunderline inter-objective and intersubjective relations, while also demonstrating the problems indeveloping an image science which can further illuminate the tenets of it.Images come at the centre of this kind of enquiry, in which images are symbolic and trope of all possiblecommunication that exists. In the context of hyper simulation of visual culture in the presentmodern world, it becomes necessary for us to move away from thelinguistic and textual modes of analysis and come up with techniques and models to closely understand images and how theyshape the world as we know it today.
