ABSTRACT Asparagus racemosus (A.racemosus) is a useful medicinal plant .it is commonly known as shatavari . This medicinal plant belong to family Liliaceae .shatavari found in areas of low altitude regions of the India (Himalayas ). The API found in shatavari is used for treatment of various diseases .shatavari used in nearly 67 ayurvedic preparation and this term is also known as RASAYANA. Shatavari shows many useful properties for example :-GIT effects ,Antidepressant, Antibacterial ,Antitussive ,Cardiovascular activities .These review gives information about Herbal,Medicinal uses with their material and methods of production along with pharmacological profile .
