The Rights-Based Approach to Social Work Practice

ABSTRACT

The current paper is the result of a thorough review of the literature. The purpose of this article is to explain the nature and interdependence of the rights and social work professions. This article addresses the evolution and development of both social work and human rights at the same time. It should be distinguished that human rights have been subjected to several eras of social work. In depth theoretical analysis is done in this paper to understand the roots and approach of rights in social work practice.
