ABSTRACT: Introduction Residual ridge is defined as the portion of the residual bone and its soft tissue covering that remains after the removal of teeth. Residual ridge resorption (RRR) is a continuous process, which is greater during the first few months after the tooth extraction than later. The objective of this study was to evaluate crestal bone loss of mandible radio-graphically in diabetic male patients, diabetic female patients and to compare mandibular crestal bone loss radio-graphically in both the groups.
