To Study the Effects of Animated Cartoon on Children

ABSTRACT Nowadays, there are TV channels that broad cast cartoon non – stop. It has both positive and negative effect on children’s behaviors. Mostly children watch cartoon for fun, action and learning. Some show help to develop the mind of the children. The result indicate that children who watch cartoon show high level of language and developing of a skill, habit or quality and help in mental development, but sometime they also show some aggressive and violent behavior with their sibling and friends. Some children also exhibit anti-social behavior as they tend to stay in front of the TV for long period. Children imitate cartoon, they fanaticize to much in real life. Cartoon content affects them in acquiring other moral and social value as well. They are observed to have gender differentiation and they exhibit it with their siblings. Sometime, they show some violent behavior with their sibling while actually; they are trying to be funny. If we are addicted with cartoon it affects children day to day life. Like children don’t like to play outdoor games spend their quality in front of the TV example lack of outdoor activity, communication gap. It is important to understand how the media affects the mind of young people. Cartoons are a form of entertainment that have a strong impact on children’s behavioral, emotional and cognitive development. Analyzing this influence is crucial because it can affect the social, emotional and cognitive aspects of a child’s development, affecting his values, beliefs and even worldview. Understanding how there cartoons impact children is critical for parents, educators, and policymakers to promote healthy and useful media consumption habits and ensure children’s well-being and development
