ABSTRACT : Urbanization, a precarious scenario is globally spread which is revamping the whole concept of urban planning. The local administration has difficulties managing the significantly expanding urban area, especially when it comes to future planning. Through objective and subjective assessment, Quality of Life (QOL) is a tool that helps cities grow sustainably by enhancing the social, political, economic, educational, health, and infrastructure aspects. QOL is the method used by the government to assess a citizen's level of happiness and fulfillment in their brain. Finding the best indicators to assess the Quality of Life Index is a difficult task, but based on the goals and objectives of the planner or researcher, appropriate definitions can be developed. The current research paper discusses about an assessment of QOL in South Zone-B of Surat City located in Gujarat, India.
