Use of Custard Apple to Treat Diabetes

ABSTRACT
Annona squamosa (custard apple) is a fruit plant a member of the Annonaceae mainly called as custard apple family. It is locally known as Sitafal in Hindi, it’s fruit is soft and juicy also used in flavouring agents in ice cream. It shows many therapeutic activities like anticancer, antioxidant, antidiabetic, antihypertensive, antimalarial, antiparasitic, hepatoprotective, insecticidal microbicidal and molluscicidal. Fruit and leaf of plant use in ayurvedic, allopathy, Unani and other medicinal system World wide. Earlier in india and other parts of Asia Custard apple is used to cure, prevent, and treatment of disease. Annona squamosa mainly contains flavonoids, acetogenins , diterpenes , alkaloids and cyclopeptides as well as vitamins and minerals reach as a active chemical constituents use in medicinal treatment. Annona squamosa (custard apple) plant is very useful and safest plant for medicinal use. Different types of vitamins, minerals, chemical present in the leaf, fruit and seeds of the annona squamosa plant in different proportion which helps to cure disease. This process is natural, cheap, easy and without any side effects. We can consume custard apple in salad, milk shake, smoothie, ice cream and eat fruits directly.
Fibers present in custard apple helps to proper digestion. Custard apple is a natural sweet fruit. Antioxidants present in custard apple mainly vitamin c and flavonoids promote insulin which balance blood glucose level. Overall custard apple is a natural antidiabetic source.
