Value Addition of Dupattas through Adaptation of Mandala Art Design using Stencil Printing

ABSTRACT

The present study explores the possibility of development of Dupattas through stencil printing using mandala art motifs. The objective of present study was to develop value added dupattasusing mandala motifs through stencil printing. The researcher found that the selected motifs were falling in the range of 79 per cent to 92per cent and the selected designed dupattas placements were found in the range of 93.33 per cent to 98.66 per cent. The developed Dupattas through this mandala art can be useful for self-employment project by using them in making different design of apparels and other items for sale through boutiques or retailers and also a good boost for creativity.
