This paper explores various vulnerabilities of Mumbai's water systems, driven by climate change, urbanization, and inadequate urban planning. It focuses on the city's critical water infrastructure issues and suggests potential solutions to manage the flood risks, improve water conservation, and enhance sustainable urban planning. By examining Mumbai's historical evolution, the impact of reclamation on flooding, and the failure of existing water management systems, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the city's water-related challenges and discuss feasible strategies to address them.
