Author Name : Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Ulfat Nazir

ABSTRACT

21st century organisationsare staffed with tech savvy employees, hailing from diverse cultures, equipped with modern technology and operating with global markets. The heterogeneous workers are well aware about their rights and responsibilities. These contemporary workers have different expectations and desire much more compared to their counterparts of yester years. In this backdrop, the contemporary research has devoted significant time to probe into the impact that job autonomy exerts on various organisational outcome variables. The present study is one such attempt which makes an attempt to probe the link between job autonomy and turnover intentions. Three banks operating in Kashmir valley were surveyed to test the proposed link. The results indicate that there exists a bond between the two variables.
