ABSTRACT

This research compares the phytochemical evaluation of Phyllanthus maderaspatensis root .Phyllanthus maderaspatensis. Preliminary phytochemical testing revealed the presence of alkaloids, reducing sugar, glycosides, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins.Madras leaf is a common name for this plant. It is a flowering plant of the Phyllanthaceae family that is native to South Africa. Preliminary phytochemical screening of the plant material may be performed to detect various plant elements. The extraction solvent will be aqueous, ethanolic, and petroleum ether. It may be inferred that the Phyllanthus maderaspatensis root is a source of secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, alkaloids, carbohydrates, phytosterols, and phenolic compounds. It used for many traditional use.
