Semantic Movements in Albanian Prepositions of the Accusative Case

ABSTRACT

The study examines 15 Albanian prepositions of accusative case by means of descriptive, analytical and comparative methods. The study seeks to achieve two main goals: the study in the semantic aspect of prepositions, so to study the level of content of this class of words, different from what is generally given in grammars or other scientific linguistic works up to date; while the second goal is to point out the semantic movement of the prepositions themselves. The semantics of Accusative prepositions is described, analyzed and compared in the span of XVI-XXI centuries.
