A Brief Study of the Major Themes Prevalent in the Novels of Manju Kapur

Manju Kapur is a well–known Indian novelist who was born in 1948 in Amritsar. She completed her graduation from Miranda House College and master’s from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and she did her degree of M. Phil from Delhi University where she was a professor of English. In her childhood she was a brilliant child and when she turned an adult, she became more brilliant and charming. She is married to Gun Nidi Dalamia and has three children and three grandchildren, and she lives in New Delhi.  Kapur is a contemporary Indian novelist having five successful novels to her credit with high degree of success all over the world. Besides, criticism her novels have achieved a popular success. She is one of the most popular and highly admired novelists of Indian writing in English.
