A Case Study – The Social Fundamental Condition of Khejuri-I Block in Purba Medinipur District of West Bengal

ABSTRACT

Purba Medinipur district is formed by the Indo-Gangetic Plain and parts of the East Coastal Plain.  The land can be divided into two parts according to the district.  Almost completely flat land is east west and north.  The coastal plain region is the south.  The entire region is composed of alluvial or coastal alluvial soils.  The average height above sea level is between 10 meters. The southern and south-eastern boundaries of the district are 65.5 km long along the coastline. One block of Khajuri police station in this entire district is Khajuri -I Block. This Khejuri -I Block is located on the banks of Ganga Bhagirathi Hooghly River and Rasulpur River.
